The “Little Explorers of the Micro World” event was organized by the MAKÜ Science Communication Coordination on April 22, 2026, as part of the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day. Within the framework of Science Café meetings, 1st-grade students from Özboyacı Primary School had the opportunity to visit the BİLTEKMER laboratory and examine the nature samples they collected under a microscope with the guidance of experts. In the second part of the program, the children had a fun and educational experience about our national values by chatting with the artificial intelligence-supported Mehmet Akif Ersoy application located at the MAKÜ Rectorate.
The event "Tiny Explorers of the Micro World" was held on April 22, 2026, as part of the Science Café meetings organized by the Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Science Communication Coordination. First-grade students from Özboyacı Primary School, invited on the occasion of April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day, had the opportunity to tour and get to know the Burdur MAKÜ Scientific and Technological Application and Research Center (BİLTEKMER) laboratory. Burdur MAKÜ BİLTEKMER Director Prof. Dr. Hale Seçilmiş gave an informative speech about the research center, the analyses conducted in the laboratories, and the working rules. After the briefing, students were asked to obtain materials they wanted to view with a light and electron microscope from the laboratory garden. The students examined the materials they were curious about under the light and electron microscope with the support of Burdur MAKÜ BİLTEKMER Experts. In the second part of the program, the Mehmet Akif Ersoy area located in the Burdur MAKÜ Rectorate was visited together with the students. During the visit, the children experienced gaining awareness and consciousness about national values by asking questions to the artificial intelligence application of Mehmet Akif Ersoy.
